Our campsite

Camping Castell Montgri is situated in L’Estartit Costa Brava. Built into the hillside, with the most amazing views across the bay. It has three superb pool complexes, one with waterslides that I am sure everyone will love!

The campsite offers entertainment for all ages, during the day and into the evening, sports facilities, playgrounds, an underground disco and even its own farm. There are a number of restaurants and takeaways that serve the most delicious family food that you can choose to have your meals in.

The entrance even has its own security that checks you have your wristband that permits your entry to the campsite.

Accommodation is chosen from Nature habit tents that sleep 5, each with a shower and toilet.

Robinson Crusoe Cruise and trek

Enjoy this combined activity of a half day cruise + trek

We depart the port of L'Estartit by boat to take in the beauty of the Les Illes Medes Nature Reserve and cruise around the spectacular cliffs that make up the coast of the Parc Natural.

Whilst cruising the Islands you will see the impressive geological features that make up this archipelago. Once we arrive in Cala Pedrosa, we swim ashore in the crystal clear waters and have a further opportunity to snorkel between the rocks.

Our trek back to l'Estartit starts with a scramble up the headland and we follow the woodland path across a Mediterranean forrest, where we will be able to discover together with our guide the flora and fauna around us.

This medium-easy route takes us from the sea to the mountain, passing for the viewing-point of the Cap de la Barra.

Feel like a true adventurer sailing the seas and forests of this beautiful place. ‘Ahoy me hearties!’

 

Snorkeling

Set off from L’estartit marina on our dive boat and cruise out to the Medes Islands. The Medes Islands archipelago is part of the Montgri, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Nature Park

The Medes Islands are today one of the most important marine flora and fauna reserves in the western Mediterranean. Students will enjoying seeing shoals of fish that are rare in other places, like Zebra seabream, scorpionfish , common stingray and red mullet.

Kayaking

This kayaking activity combines sport, sea and adventure, and allows us to discover Illes Medes and its seabed.

Pupils will receive expert tuition, wether they are beginners or have previous experience of kayaking. Once confident the floatilla will paddle out of the marina and head towards the Medes Islands. During this 2hr 30 mins activity students get the opportunity to play games, have fun and enjoy the specatular marine environment.

At all times you will be accompanied by the guide, and supported by a rescue boat throughtout this activity.

 

Our full watersports programme is based In the Mediterranean Sea, in the coastal town of L’Estarit Costa Brava.

Activity Instruction: Our activities are delivered by Specialists from the well established company Med Aqua.

Activity Locations: Activities are local to the campsite, a 15 minute walk or just a short ride away provided by the free bus on the campsite.

Excursions: If schools wish to alter their itinerary, we are happy to organise this. A visit to Aqua Diver waterpark, which is in Platja D’aro, approximately 30/40 minutes by coach or a glass bottom boat trip. These would incur an extra charge.
